Spooky Trunk or Treat for Halloween
We had an amazing turn-out for our annual Halloween party hosted by Big Brothers Big Sisters for the Bigs and Littles in our program - with nearly 140 people in attendance! A big thanks to the Borah High National Honor Society for giving out candy and decorating trunks to make it a memorable Halloween and the team at AmeriBen l IEC Group for holding a costume drive for the kids.
Most of all, thanks to our sponsor, Bauer Ryan Family Law, who made the party possible!
Campaign for Change
Your money is hard-earned and there are countless ways to spend it. With $5, you can buy a coffee, watch several weeks of Netflix, and you can change a child’s life – right here in the Treasure Valley. For a recurring payment of $5 a month, you can provide a stable, caring force in a child’s life. If 100 people take the pledge, together we can give the gift of a mentor to 6 additional children this year!
Charity Night at 10 Barrel Brewing Company
Thank you so much to the team and staff at 10 Barrel Brewing Company! Big Brothers Big Sisters was selected as the beneficiary of their Charity Night for the month of August. All of the net profits from the evening , totaling $1,423.62, will go towards the programs at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Idaho. Thank you to all that came down to join in the laughter and good food and brews! We love our community here in the Treasure Valley!
DirecTV Ice Cream Social and Backpack Event 2015
DirecTV gave 30 of our children backpacks full of school supplies at this year's Ice Cream Social and Backpack Event sponsored by DirecTV. We had a great time playing kickball, volleyball, extreme frisbee and making crazy hats. Thank you for all who came and participated and to all the volunteers from DirecTV.
Big Brothers Big Sisters Summer Party 2015
On July 11th, we held our annual Summer Picnic with over 200 of our matches, their families and supporters. Thank you to all that supported and participated in this year’s picnic held at the Julius Kleiner Park in Meridian. We had a variety of activities from face painting to spinning the prize wheel to lassoing the hay bale bull. There was entertainment for everyone! It was a very successful event as our way to say thank you to those in the program and to everyone who supports Big Brothers Big Sisters.
