We feel truly fortunate to have an Advisory Group that helped us to explore issues such as feasibility and best practices and bring this program to fruition. This is an incredibly dynamic group of STEM professionals with representatives from: Micron, HP, Power Engineers, Boise State University, Boise School District, Cradlepoint, Boise Cascade, Lamb Weston, Layton Construction, Bank of America, Society of Women Engineers, and the Idaho STEM Action Center. We are so grateful for their part in making this program happen.
We are so grateful for the generosity of Micron Technology and the Idaho STEM Action Center for supporting our Women In STEM initiative with a $42,500 donation. Thank you, Governor Brad Little for making it official! We are thrilled to announce our new program – Women in STEM. Through this program we will recruit women who are employed in STEM professions to be Big Sisters. Through a healthy mentoring relationship, paired with intentional encouragement and exposure to STEM, the likely hood of their Little Sisters pursuing a STEM career will be heightened significantly.
