On July 11th, we held our annual Summer Picnic with over 200 of our matches, their families and supporters. Thank you to all that supported and participated in this year’s picnic held at the Julius Kleiner Park in Meridian. We had a variety of activities from face painting to spinning the prize wheel to lassoing the hay bale bull. There was entertainment for everyone! It was a very successful event as our way to say thank you to those in the program and to everyone who supports Big Brothers Big Sisters.

On July 13th and 14th, our office hosted the first annual Western BBBS Peer Sharing Conference. With approximately 50 attendees representing 16 agencies, it was a great success. The keynote speakers motivated and inspired all participants to bring their ideas together and share the work that each one of them does daily. The attendees were broke out into groups based on their job description focus area, shared their ideas and collaborated on how to positively impact each of their agencies. We are so proud that the conference was such a success and appreciate the time, travel and effort the other agencies put forth to be able to join us.
