As this year's beneficiaries, Big Brothers Big Sisters was granted nearly $8,000 in donations towards our programs. Thank you to all that participated in our starfish campaign and believing that helping an individual does matter, even if it is just one. We are looking forward to next year and our continued partnership with AmeriBen in serving the children of Treasure Valley.
Our executive team had a great time in Sun Valley at this year's AmeriBen conference. Thank you to Andy Fujimoto and Carrie Hatch, who serve on our board of directors at Big Brothers Big Sisters and were kind enough to have us as their guests.

Sam came to work at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Idaho through the AmeriCorps Vista program. Originally from the windblown state of Wyoming, he spent the last four years finishing school and working for the Wyoming Conservation Corps. Sam enjoys giving back to the community in any way he can and believes that even the smallest change can make a big difference. Sam has been fortunate enough to have the influence of positive mentors for the majority of his life and is looking forward to providing others with a similar rewarding experience. Sam also enjoys reading, doing crossword puzzles and enjoying the wonderful outdoor opportunities the city of Boise provides. |
We had an amazing turn-out for our annual Halloween party hosted by Big Brothers Big Sisters for the Bigs and Littles in our program - with nearly 140 people in attendance! A big thanks to the Borah High National Honor Society for giving out candy and decorating trunks to make it a memorable Halloween and the team at AmeriBen l IEC Group for holding a costume drive for the kids. Most of all, thanks to our sponsor, Bauer Ryan Family Law, who made the party possible! |
