“This is one event we particularly enjoy every year,” said Steve Redd, senior site director at the AT&T Boise Call Center. “It’s very gratifying to see the looks on the kids’ faces and the impact the donations make. Knowing they won’t have to worry about their school supplies for the coming year makes it all worthwhile. It’s our community and our employees are proud to give back in any way we can.”
All items were donated by AT&T and its employees; including backpacks, pens and pencils, notebooks and more. The day included interactive games staffed by AT&T volunteers from the Boise Call Center, retail sales and the home service team. Cool Intentions, a local ice cream truck, also provided a sweat treat for all participants.
“We are so lucky to live in the Treasure Valley where our community is so passionate about giving back. We see that passion in the volunteer mentors who give their time and from businesses like AT&T who jump in to help when they see a need,” said Sarah Leeds, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Idaho.
