Today we celebrate our 50th School-Site Match! The School-Site Program is a great way to pair mentors (Bigs) with children in a fun setting. As Julieann, our School Match Specialist, says, "It is an amazing feeling to see the joy in our Little’s eyes as their Bigs come to visit them!"

We are so grateful for the generosity of Micron Technology and the Idaho STEM Action Center for supporting our Women In STEM initiative with a $42,500 donation. Thank you, Governor Brad Little for making it official!
We are thrilled to announce our new program – Women in STEM. Through this program we will recruit women who are employed in STEM professions to be Big Sisters. Through a healthy mentoring relationship, paired with intentional encouragement and exposure to STEM, the likely hood of their Little Sisters pursuing a STEM career will be heightened significantly.
We feel truly fortunate to have an Advisory Group that helped us to explore issues such as feasibility and best practices and bring this program to fruition. This is an incredibly dynamic group of STEM professionals with representatives from: Micron, HP, Power Engineers, Boise State University, Boise School District, Cradlepoint, Boise Cascade, Lamb Weston, Layton Construction, Bank of America, Society of Women Engineers, and the Idaho STEM Action Center. We are so grateful for their part in making this program happen.

At Big Brothers Big Sisters we are about to make the children in our community very happy by matching them with their very own Big Brother or Big Sister and it is all because of you! Thank you so much for your generosity and making Bowl for Kids’ Sake a success.

Bowl for Kids’ Sake would not be possible without you!
Work is already underway to move children off of our wait list and pairing them with a mentor. However, in order to do that we need great mentors, could that be you? If you are interested in learning how you could become a Big or get more involved with our program in other ways, please visit BBBSIdaho.org.
We had a great evening at Idaho Shakespeare Festival's Mamma Mia! Thank you so much to the amazing team at Idaho Shakespeare Festival for giving some lucky Bigs and Littles the rare opportunity to enjoy wonderful, live theatre (and the staff had a great time, too)! ...Oh, and we are definitely borrowing some of the choreography from Dancing Queen! #mamamamia#thisisboise #idahoshakespeare #dancingqueen #abba #waterloo
